The Gentle Guardians: Meet the Donkeys (and the Rest of the Menagerie)

Every homestead has a staff directory, and ours mostly has four legs. The donkeys are the gentle guardians — calm, watchful, quietly certain the fence line is their responsibility. The miniature goats are playful, curious, and endlessly charming, which is a polite way of saying they run the morale department.

The mini English sheep are soft, serene, and perfect for petting. The milk cows are the soul of any working farm, and ours will be no exception — morning milking, done the old way, with room for you to help. The horses are majestic companions for the trails; the mini horses are sized just for little hands.

Chickens and ducks round out the roster: breakfast’s proudest contributors and the pond’s daily commentators, respectively. The whole crew moves in as we build — and morning feed rounds, egg collection, and pasture hellos will be part of every stay.
